This morning after church, I was talking to some of the church members that reside in Sunland. They could not believe the antics the Golf club is using to try to keep control of the homeowners.
This is downright fraud and they are getting themself in to trouble to say the least.

We have shown them the math several times. Most homeowners understand it, some do not or are unwilling to accept the numbers.

This situation is rising it’s ugly head n many G&CC communities. Golf clubs and private clubs are declining in membership Nation wide.

Let’s face it. If you have a job, most people are saving their money…not spending it.

We are a very, very long way from the end of this economic meltdown.

Oh….and for those RE agents and mortgage brokers who tell people this will soon pass…STOP DRINKING THE KOOLAIDE.

Open Space can be used for many things. Walking, picnics, soccer, baseball…it doesn’t have to be a GOLF COURSE unless the Pierce or King County Department of Planning and Development put that verbiage in the PUD.

My bet is your answers are in the RECORDED DOCUMENTS. It may take a few weeks to read everything in the file, but when these communities were developed, the county government usually stipulated the developers outline the use of the OPEN SPACE. I doubt seriously whether keeping an unfeasible golf club operation that burdened homeowners with ever increasing fees was a part of the “agreement”.

Question #6 states that SLOA sold the land for the golf course to the golf club. I do not believe this is a true statement and I suggest you check your “Facts” before you publish them. Even a cursory review of the history of SunLand would, I believe, inform you that it was SunLand Associates and not SLOA that sold the property. This is an important distinction!
